Student Center Governing Committee
The Student Center Governing Committee was a new addition to the 102nd Student Senate replacing the now defunct Hughes-Trigg Student Center Governing Board. The Student Center Governing Committee was recreated and brought back with the goal of creating a truly “student centered” student center. The Student Center Governing Committee is made up of 15 members, 12 of which are student members spanning the gamut of important student focused offices and organizations on campus. The committee is in charge of many duties including, but not limited to, the following: allocating open rooms and reallocating rooms to student organizations when need be, making sure the sign room and other services in the student center are properly supporting the student use they accommodate, ensuring the proper use of the Student Center Repair and Replacement Reserve Accounts, approving all remodeling or renovation projects, and making sure students are included in the processes of all of these project efforts.
