our purpose

The purpose of SMU’s Student Senate is to establish a forum to represent all students, act as a communicative body among the students, administration, and faculty, protect the rights of students by ensuring a student voice in every decision-making process of the university, establish policies which govern the actions of students, and promote opportunities for intellectual growth.
