Fall 2025 Referendum

The 112th Student Senate recently referred two amendments to the Student Body Constitution to the SMU Student Body for a referendum. This means that the Student Body will vote on each of these proposed amendments to the Student Body Constitution. A ⅔ majority of votes cast will be required for the proposed amendments to be ratified. 

The Fall 2025 Student Body Referendum will open Wednesday, November 19 at 8 am and close Thursday, November 20 at 4 pm. All SMU students are eligible to vote. Voting will take place on SMU360. 

If you wish to campaign for or against one or both of these proposed amendments, you must complete the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the referendum campaigning guidelines and abide by these rules. You can access this form here.
